CARLSBAD----Two Vista residents who allegedly took clothes from a Carlsbad department store at gunpoint last month have been arrested, a Carlsbad police sergeant said Thursday.
Two men and a woman entered the Macy's at the Plaza Camino Real mall on the evening of Sept. 1, one of them flashing a handgun, Sgt. Mickey Williams said. The group took clothes and left the mall by car, he said.
Using witness statements, video surveillance and other undisclosed investigative techniques, detectives recently identified two of the three suspects, Williams said.
On Wednesday, police arrested 23-year-old Araceli Torres in Vista. A second suspect, Hector Torres, 33, was already in custody on unrelated charges at the George Bailey Jail in San Diego, Williams said. Both face charges of robbery and conspiracy.
A third, unidentified suspect is still at large, Williams said.
Police have not recovered the stolen items.
