OCEANSIDE: Missing 11-year-old found unharmed
By North County Times | ∞
OCEANSIDE ---- An 11-year-old Oceanside boy who was missing through the night was found safe at a friend's house Saturday morning, authorities said.
Mark Lopez had been missing since 5 p.m. Friday, when he was last seen by friends at a Canyon Drive McDonald's, police Sgt. Kelan Poorman said. His family got worried when the normally well-behaved boy with no history of running away didn't come home, Poorman said. They searched for him near the beach before calling police.
At about 10:15 a.m. Saturday, an Oceanside police senior volunteer spotted Mark near City Hall and stopped him. The boy was fine and had spent the night at a friend's house without telling his mother, Poorman said.
