Albertsons hosts dog adoption event

FALLBROOK ---- Albertsons grocery store will host pet adoptions from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 18 at 1133 S. Mission Road. They are sponsoring the adoptions for the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary, a nonprofit organization. Kittens, cats and dogs will be available. Water conservation workshop scheduled

FALLBROOK ---- A water conservation technology workshop showcasing the latest water conservation technologies for landscape irrigation will take place from 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 5 at Beech Street Park, 502 S. Mission Road.

Speakers Justin Haessly and Dan Denning will discuss and demonstrate irrigation efficiency and landscape design using low-water-use plant materials. The workshop is funded by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, and admission is free. Call (760) 728-1332.

Auto repair is focus of ladies night out program

FALLBROOK ---- Getting to know one's auto mechanic will be the focus at the October Healthy Woman Ladies Night Out Event scheduled for 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 23 at Indy Performance Pro-Tire, 1367 S. Mission Road. PerformancePro-Tire owner Gary Shimer will present “Auto Repair Piece of Mind,” followed by “Body Mechanics: Are You Properly Aligned?” by Dr. Lidia Everett, board certified in internal medicine, Graybill Medical Group and member of the Fallbrook Hospital Medical Staff.
