CARLSBAD: Final candidates' forum set for Thursday

CARLSBAD ---- The Carlsbad City Council candidates will face off Thursday during the final candidates' forum before the November election.
Hosted by the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, the public event is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium at the Carlsbad City Library, 1775 Dove Lane.
Six candidates are running for two council seats: Thomas K. Arnold, Keith Blackburn, Glenn R. Bernard, Farrah Douglas, Ann Kulchin and Evan Delaney Rodgers.
During the first hour of Thursday's event, each candidate will answer a series of predetermined questions, organizers report. During the second hour, people from the audience will be able to ask questions.
The first hour of the event will be broadcast initially live on Time Warner Cable Channel 3 and then will be re-aired several times in the coming days.
