VISTA: Suspect in death of pregnant woman to be arraigned Friday

VISTA ---- The man suspected of killing a 19-year-old pregnant woman last week after he crashed a speeding car into her will be arraigned in court Friday, authorities said.

Mark Allen Davidson, 21, could face two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter in the death of Nancy Canseco and her unborn 8-month-old child.

He will be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. at the Vista courthouse.

Davidson posted bond and was released from the Vista jail on Oct. 24, a jail official said. Davidson's bail was set at $330,000.

The Vista resident was driving a 1968 Chevrolet Impala at more than 80 mph on Oct. 23 when he lost control of the vehicle and it began to slide sideways, a sheriff's report said. The car then struck Canseco as she was walking alongside North Santa Fe Avenue at roughly 10:20 p.m., the report said.

She was just yards from her home on the 1500 block of North Santa Fe.

Four passengers were in the Impala at the time of the crash, including two minor females, one male adult and one female adult. They, along with Davidson, were taken to local hospitals with injuries.

One, a 15-year-old female from Vista, was initially listed as being in critical condition following the crash, according to a Vista sheriff's sergeant investigating the case. No update on her condition was available Wednesday.

The other occupants of the car suffered minor to moderate injuries. Neither minor female was named.

The adult male was named as Adrian Sabo, 32. He is believed to be a transient, authorities said. The adult female was named as Amber Elder, 20, of Vista. The second minor female was listed as 17 years old and of Vista.

Sheriff's investigators have recommended that the San Diego County district attorney's office consider the injuries of the passengers when filing charges against Davidson.

Authorities do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. Toxicology results on Davidson are pending.

I bet Mark Allen Davidson is not thinking about them rather he is thinking about himself!!! No worries Mark Allen Davidson your family bailed you out of jail and I am sure they will be able to bail you out of this. He will probably get probation for this horrible deed.
