Toyota of Escondido to host mixer
ESCONDIDO -- Toyota of Escondido at 231 Lincoln Parkway will host the March Business After 5 Mixer of the Escondido Chamber of Commerce. The early-evening networking event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. March 12.

SD Regional Chamber to hold luncheon
SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold the annual Congressional Luncheon, presented by BAE Systems, on March 27.
The luncheon will be held at the Holiday Inn on the Bay at 1355 North Harbor Drive, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Individual registrations are $55 and tables of 10 are $475.
Invited representatives include Reps. Brian Bilbray, Bob Filner, Duncan D. Hunter, Darrell Issa and Susan Davis. Dennis Morgigno of Channel 4 San Diego will moderate a forum discussion on regional issues.

Barnhart building Wounded Warrior Barracks
CAMP PENDLETON -- Barnhart, Inc. and Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest have announced the groundbreaking of a $23-million Bachelor Enlisted Quarters for Marines and sailors. The project is being built at the Wounded Warrior Battalion West stationed at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
The quarters has 100 semi-private suites for service members recovering from various injuries, in a total of 66,000 square feet. It features lounges, kitchen facilities, interactive gaming areas, computer alcoves and an outdoor deck with views of Lake O'Neill and the surrounding hillside.
The two-story structure will be built to LEED Gold standards, with energy and water savings exceeding federal requirements. Cass, Sowatsky, Chapman & Associates Architects is providing design and engineering services.
Completion is set for March 2010.
BusinessWeek ranks USD program 29th in nation
SAN DIEGO -- The University of San Diego ranked 29th in the nation on BusinessWeek's 2009 list of the top 50 undergraduate business programs. USD, which has ranked in the top 50 for three years in a row, rose 18 spots this year, the largest jump on the magazine's list.
USD was one of three California schools listed, along with the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Southern California.
The ranking comes as USD celebrates its 60th anniversary.
At USD, more than 850 undergraduate business students can choose from bachelor's degrees in accountancy, economics and business administration with majors in business administration, business economics, marketing and finance.
Fallbrook agency named to elite list
FALLBROOK -- Fallbrook Hospital Home Health Agency has been named to the 2008 HomeCare Elite, a listing of the most successful Medicare-certified home health care providers in the United States.
This annual review identifies the top 25 percent of agencies, ranked by an analysis of performance measures in quality outcomes, quality improvement and financial performance.
