CARMEL VALLEY -- Medical products maker Volcano Corp. said Monday that it has officially relocated its corporate headquarters here from Rancho Cordova, just outside Sacramento.

Volcano, which specializes in diagnosing and treating heart disease, said its headquarters houses its corporate executives, marketing, finance, accounting, human resources and legal departments, as well as its catheter engineering division.

Volcano "intends to expand its operations in San Diego in the future," the company said.
