Risk management firm releases study

POWAY -- Poway-based risk management firm Quality Built released a study that says homes constructed in the West outranked all other parts of the U.S. in construction quality. They study looked at more than 31,000 new homes completed in 2005 in 27 states by 900 different builders.

Poway company retained by bio-tech

SAN DIEGO -- Tulip BioMed Inc. says it has retained Poway-based Quality System Consulting Specialists to help Tulip BioMed design programs meet regulatory requirements of countries in which they are targeting their medical devices.

Bank offers online check imaging

SAN DIEGO -- Security Business Bank of San Diego announced that it will offer customers remote deposit processing, a web-based check image system. The bank has branches in Carmel Valley and Carlsbad.

Poway company finishes landscape installation

CHULA VISTA -- Poway-based Benchmark Landscape Inc. announced that it has finished landscape installation for McMillin Homes' Rolling Hills Ranch Recreation Center in Chula Vista. Benchmark Landscape also operates out of a facility in San Marcos.

Daylight Solutions closes financing round

POWAY -- Poway-based Daylight Solutions announced the closing of $7.5 million in Series A financing. The round was led by San Diego-based HamiltonTech Capital Partners, and included investments from Masters Capital Nanotechnology and strategic partner Magnecomp International Limited. Daylight Solutions is a manufacturer of miniaturized, molecular detection and imaging devices.

Kids in Touch established
