TEMECULA -- Internationally renowned hairstylist Nekko will visit Kromatic Hair salon Monday to share tips on how to create edgy, runway-style hair looks.

Nekko, whose hair artistry has been featured in such magazines as Vogue, Allure, Glamour and Harper's Bazaar, will spend the day training the Kromatic Hair Design Team.

Stylists will learn about products and techniques to create nine Red Carpet looks for special events such as proms and weddings.

Shipping store to give away stamps

PostalAnnex+ will give free 1-cent stamps Monday through the end of May. The promotion coincides with the postal rate increase from 41 cents to 42 cents per stamp for a 1-ounce, first-class letter.

A company spokesman said the company runs the promotion as a "thank you" to its costumers to help make it easier to finish off their unused 41-cent stamps.

IT workshop scheduled

A workshop titled "Information Technology Management Puzzle" will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday. Sponsored by the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center, the workshop will help small business owners understand the risks and opportunities surrounding IT management.

The discussion will focus on how to mesh applications, databases, networks and hardware to help support business needs.

Cake Cottage grand opening set

MURRIETA --The Cake Cottage will hold its grand opening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The event will include free demonstrations by Linda Bills of Do It With Icing in San Diego, Linda Butler of The California Cake Club, Debbie McLaughlin and Margaret Sturiale of the Cake Cottage and Susan Carberry, the Cake Cottage's owner.

Free cupcake and petit-fours samples will be served, and an area will be set up for kids to decorate their own cupcakes.
