ENCINITAS -- The owner of the Albertsons supermarket chain said it is closing a local store and four others across Southern California.
The Encinitas location, near the intersection of El Camino Real and Encinitas Boulevard, will close Feb. 19, spokeswoman Lilian Rodriguez said Tuesday. Some workers are being offered jobs at other locations.
Albertsons is one of several food and pharmacy chains operated by Supervalu Inc., whose corporate headquarters are in Minnesota.
