CARLSBAD -- Enviance Inc. said Monday the U.S. Army has expanded use of the company's system for tracking greenhouse gas emissions from one to 12 locations.
The Carlsbad company is developing an Internet-based monitoring system that gives drivers a readout on their driving patterns. The information helps drivers increase their mileage, which also reduces emissions of carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas.
The Army is expanding from its initial test in Fort Carlson, Colo., to an additional 11 locations: Fort Benning, Ga.; Letterkenny Army Depot, Pa.; Redstone Arsenal, Ala.; Fort Indiantown Gap, Pa.; Fort Rucker, Ala.; Fort Campbell, Ky.; Fort Hood, Texas; Fort Drum, N.Y.; Fort Stewart, Ga.; Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Md., and Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
