Grand-opening event set at 7-Eleven store - 7-Eleven Inc. will hold a grand-opening celebration from noon to 4 p.m. today at 32060 Clinton Keith Road in Wildomar.

Festivities will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon, live music and a clown who will create balloon animals and paint faces.

Chiropractic center to hold celebration - Chiropractic Rehabilitation Center will celebrate its grand opening from 6 to 9 tonight at its new location, 115 Main St. in Vista.

Dr. Rick Barrack, a local chiropractor for more than 25 years, has moved his office and expanded his services. His new wellness center, located in a renovated historical building in downtown Vista, also serves as an art gallery, where works by local artists will be showcased on a rotating basis.

The celebration will feature a wine-and-cheese reception for artists Kim Fraley, Michael Steirnagle, Lori Mitchell and Tracy Sabin of the Society of Illustrators.

Tax aspects of fires will be discussed - The Palomar chapter of the California Society of Enrolled Agents will host an educational dinner event from 6 to 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Escondido Country Club, 1800 Country Club Lane.

The program topic will be "Firestorm 2007: Tax Aspects of Presidentially Declared Disaster Areas and Casualty Losses."

Audiss Group to donate sales training services - Audiss Group LCC, an affiliate of the Sandler Sales Institute of Carlsbad, announced that it will donate $50,000 in sales training services to aid in the rebuilding process for small-business owners and professionals whose homes were lost in the recent fires.

The Audiss Group is reviewing applications. Final grants for membership in the Sandler Sales Training Program will be awarded Dec. 31.

Stonefield Development opens rebuilding center - Stonefield Development, a regional custom home builder, has opened a rebuilding center in Rancho Bernardo to assist those who lost their homes in the recent fires.

At the center, homeowners can receive information on Stonefield's blueprint for rebuilding after a natural disaster and learn about custom rebuilding and group rebuild plans that offer scales of economy.

Temporary branch opens in Fallbrook - Pacific Coast National Bank, headquartered in Encinitas and San Clemente, opened a temporary banking branch at 1735 S. Mission St., through the assistance of Agility Recovery Solutions, a disaster recovery and business continuity resource. The branch enables the bank to serve the community affected by the recent wildfires. Established utilizing ReadySuite Financial, a mobile bank branch solution from Agility, the temporary branch is deployed when a banking client experiences a disaster or business interruption.

A local resident, Jim Chaffin, donated the land for the recovery and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, which charters, regulates and supervises all national banks, granted the bank a temporary charter.

The branch will be staffed with a disaster response team, including experts in construction lending that specialize in SBA disaster loans and insurance disbursement accounts.

For every account opened in Fallbrook through Dec. 31, PCNB will make a donation to the fire relief effort.

Javo lands Veterans Affairs contract - Javo Beverage Co. Inc., headquartered in Vista, announced that it has been selected for the Department of Veterans Affairs Subsistence Prime Vendor Program.

Javo will provide dispensed specialty coffee to approximately 200 VA facilities nationwide. US Foodservice will handle the product distribution for the program through 40 distribution centers across the country.

The facilities include the Veterans Canteen Service Cafeterias and VA Medical Centers.

Javo Beverage Co. offers their fresh brewed hot and iced coffees in a concentrated form that may be easily served by food service operators at the VA facilities from beverage dispensers similar to soda fountain machines.

Capital Group signs agreement with LEEP - USM Capital Group Inc., the financial services subsidiary of U.S. Microbics, based in Carlsbad, announced that it has signed multiple consulting agreements with LEEP Inc. for strategic consulting, investor relations and capital fundraising plan development.

LEEP, already a publicly traded company, has identified new commercial and governmental business opportunities for its products and needs additional working capital for future growth. UCGI will assist LEEP in the development of a capital formation plan and will help the company execute the plan over the coming year. LEEP has established new standards within the construction industry with its patented LeepCore structural building material.
