CARMEL VALLEY -- Rayspan Corp. has received $12.5 million from venture capital investors, the wireless technology company said Monday.
Rayspan said the funding came from Khosla Ventures, a new investor, along with existing investor Sequoia Capital, and individual investors.
The money will go to developing and getting to market Rayspan's "metamaterial" wireless technology. Cell phones made with this technology will have improved performance and be easier and cheaper to make, the company says.
