California Surf Festival

Sunday, Nov. 22, in Oceanside

The second annual festival concludes on Sunday with surf-related film screenings including the full-length documentaries "Sound of Waves" (on surf music) and "BS!" (Dusty Payne, Mitch Coleborn and others shred waves) along with the short films "El Dia Despues" and "Shaping a Life." The Music Men Chorus Holiday Concert

"Angels in America Part II: Perestroika"

Palomar College's theater department presents the second part of Tony Kushner's landmark drama about a Mormon man struggling with his sexuality, and another gay man on a heaven-sent mission, while the AIDS epidemic takes hold in 1986 America. Richard Chase Art Exhibit

Saturday and Nov. 29 in Escondido

An exhibit of artwork by the late Escondido muralist Richard Chase will be exhibited at the Meadow Lake Golf Club in Hidden Meadows. The longtime Escondido resident was a celebrated muralist and portrait artist, whose works often depicted San Diego history, can be found in the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel, San Diego Air & Space Museum and the Escondido Public Library.
