Lake Poway trout season opens ----- Trout season returns to Lake Poway. The lake was stocked overnight with 1,500 pounds of hungry rainbow trout, and will be stocked with 1,000 to 4,000 pounds weekly throughout the season. Light the Night Walk ---- The Leukemia and Lymphoma societies co-host their 11th annual walk at Qualcomm Stadium to raise money for those battling blood cancers. Walkers will make a two-mile sunset walk around the stadium's perimeter carrying illuminated balloons ---- white for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of loved ones. Last year's walk drew 3,000 participants and raised $380,000. The walk is followed by a fair featuring live music, activities, booths, food and a children's zone.
