"A Fall Gathering" ---- The Temecula Valley Master Chorale will present the first concert of its 10th anniversary season. According to director John Byun, "This concert will feature an eclectic variety of choral music and composers. The first half will feature a range of music from serious choral literature such as Gabriel Faure's 'Canique de Jean Racine' to the not so serious, 'Of Crows and Clusters' by Norman Dello Joio. But don't be fooled, the music is all serious, in fact, very difficult at times. Just some of the text you will hear is of the light-hearted." The second half of the concert will conclude with the beautiful "Liebeslider Waltzer (Love-song Waltzes)" by Johannes Brahms. This work features 18 short songs that depict the joy and rapture of love and all texts chosen from Daumer's "Polydora."
