NCT unable to publish Easter service schedules

Because of the overwhelming volume, the North County Times and The Californian regret that they are unable to publish church schedules of Holy Week and Easter services. We will continue to list announcements for special events and programs, however. Please submit notices to faith@nctimes.com.

Sunrise services set for pier, park, Flower Fields

NORTH COUNTY -- Sunrise Easter services are scheduled Sunday morning for the Oceanside Amphitheatre, Buddy Todd Park and the Flower Fields of Carlsbad.

At 6:30 a.m., The Fields Church of Carlsbad will host its fifth annual sunrise Easter service at the Flower Fields of Carlsbad (5704 Paseo Del Norte, off Palomar Airport Road). After the service, the first 500 people to have arrived will be treated to a free breakfast. The Fields meets weekly at Aviara Oaks Middle School; call (760) 602-0722 or visit thefieldschurch.org.

New Venture Christian Fellowship will host its Sunrise on the Shore service at the Oceanside Amphitheatre (200 N The Strand) at 7:30 a.m. Special guests who will help lead the service include comedian Kerri Pomarolli, former Chargers kicker John Carney and Lt. Col. Brian Birdwell (a 9/11 survivor). A free breakfast will be served after the service. Call (760) 721-7777 or visit newventure.org.

Buddy Todd Park in Oceanside (3000 Mesa Drive) will be the site of Calvary Baptist Church of Oceanside's sunrise service at 8 a.m. A free continental breakfast will be held at the church after the service. Call (760) 433-6454 or e-mail cbcoceanside.com.
