Volunteers sought for outreach concert

VISTA -- Firm Believers in Christ is seeking volunteers for its June 6 Bands Battling for Souls event at the Oceanside Pier Amphitheatre. People are needed to help with booth setup and and removal, setting up and running the treasure hunt, handling the invite cards, manning prayer booths and evangelizing. Mormons to host open house

VISTA -- The Vista Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is holding a spring open house and Emergency Preparedness Fair from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at 451 W. Bobier Drive. Members of the Vista Stake (which covers Vista, Fallbrook, and parts of Oceanside) will be on hand to discuss different aspects of Mormon faith and practices. Visitors will be able to access the church's genealogy database to research their own families' histories. There will also be information on home emergency preparation, including food storage. Free hot dogs and lemonade. Call 760-726-6556.
