San Diego Epiphyllum Society: Meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Room 101 of the Casa del Prado Room at Balboa Park. Jim Neitzel of the California Rare Fruit Growers speaks on the topic of grafting stone fruit trees (peach, plum, apricot, apple) and also more difficult subtropicals. Refreshments, raffle.

Temecula Valley Rose Society: Meets at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the Temecula Public Library community room, 30600 Pauba Road, Temecula. Virginia Murphy, often called the Herb Lady, from Ama's Herboretum in Temecula is guest speaker.
