A full moon lit up the evening and stars from screen and television brightened up "Diamonds Are Forever, A Night in Monte Carlo," the benefit for the Escondido Children's Museum held Oct. 3 at Brecht BMW in Escondido.

VISTA: Golf tourney brings in $65,000 for hospice
The Oct. 12 golf tournament benefiting Hospice of the North Coast fielded 88 golfers, including a contingent of fighter pilots from Miramar Marine Corps Air Station. When asked if the excellent eye-hand coordination required for a fighter pilot helped with golf, they all chuckled.
