Part brew master and part mad scientist, Tom Garcia, 29, makes sure every batch of beer is the best it can be before it leaves homegrown Stone Brewery in Escondido. His job as Stone's quality assurance technician involves several checks along the beer-making process, from checking the yeast cells to making sure it just tastes good. Garcia says the one thing you will find in common with anyone working for a brewery is the appetite to always be learning more about the craft of making brew.
