Casa de Bandini reopens: Casa de Bandini, the Mexican restaurant that Diane Powers operated in Old Town San Diego for 25 years until she lost her lease four years ago and was forced to close, reopens Thursday in The Forum shopping center in Carlsbad. Mariachis will perform from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays-Sundays. Casa de Bandini, at 1901 Calle Barcelona in Carlsbad, is open 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sundays. Call 760-634-3443.
