CARLSBAD -- Legoland California will pay tribute to Michael Jackson by installing a 4-inch-tall model of the "King of Pop" in the park's popular Miniland Southern California attraction, officials said Wednesday.
The miniature figure will be shown exiting a tiny limousine in front of Miniland's Grauman's Chinese Theatre. The scene will include photographers and random paparazzi surrounding the limousine as little Lego fans try to catch a glimpse of the pop icon, according to a Legoland news release.
Three model-builders working on the project actually created five different versions if Jackson, the news release stated. The most popular model, chosen in a poll at cnn.com, will be installed before the park opens Friday. See photos and a video at nctimes.com
Jackson died June 25 at age 50 from what authorities have said appears to be cardiac arrest.
