8. An interactive storytime for babies which incorporates sign

9. An independent group activity designed to introduce preschool
age children to storytelling and build a foundation for reading

10. An on-the-lap storytime designed to introduce 2 year olds and
their parents to stories, rhymes and activities that stimulate a
toddler's developing vocabulary. Ages 24 to 35 months.
- La Hore del Cuento: Bilingual Storytime -- 4 p.m. Fridays,
beginning Jan. 11. Stories, fingerplays and songs in both Spanish
and English.
- Adventures in Dog Sledding -- 4 p.m. Jan. 16. Learn about
mushing and more in this hands-on program from the Adventure Quest
Institute. Ages 3 and older.
- Wonders of the Wheel -- 4 p.m. Jan. 30. An award-winning
program about the science and history of wheels from the authors of
"Hubert Invents the Wheel." Ages 3 and older.
- Paws to Read -- 2 to 3 p.m., selected Saturdays. Young readers
can practice their skills by reading to a licensed therapy dog

how to use a mouse, type letters, open and close documents and use

Also, the Friends of Temecula Libraries Bookstores at both
Temecula libraries are in need of gently used books, CDs and DVDs.

Volunteers are needed at the Friends Bookstore behind the Grace
Mellman Library. Available shifts are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 to 4
p.m.
