Aug. 31 was Pop Warner Night at San Marcos High School. A record number of San Marcos Pop Warner football players and cheerleaders attended the game, and enjoyed watching the Knights win their season opener games against San Ysidro. The stadium was standing room only as the Pop Warner kids made a tunnel for the varsity players to come onto the field, and in return, the varsity players chanted for the Pop Warner players as they left the field.
