Terrilyn Quick, an art teacher at Bear Valley Middle School in Escondido, recently invited author Marlene Balbach and illustrator Laura Glusha to make a presentation to her class. The two taught students how an artist and illustrator must work together to complete a book. Balbach is the grandparent of a Bear Valley student, and recently completed her first book, "PT's Big Surprise."
