Community center offering summer sports programs
FALLBROOK -- Adults and youths can learn and enjoy an array of sports this summer at the Fallbrook Community Center.
Kids will get an introduction to volleyball. Coach Annette Nielson will demonstrate the basics of passing, hitting and serving. Kids should bring a volleyball if they have one. The first camp runs from 9 to 11 a.m. July 7-11 with a second week scheduled from July 14-18. Volleyball camps are open for children ages 8-12.
Soo Bahk Do Karate focuses on personalized instruction and is open to youths 4 and older, as well as adults. The class is held 5:30-6:25 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.
Beginning courses in youth, adult and senior golf are being offered at Circle K Golf Ranch in Rainbow. Golf pro Barry Krumwiede will demonstrate all the basics, provide tips and provide individual attention as students learn and practice, stance and swing.
Youth tennis will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 11-15. Children ages 8-15 are welcome. Tennis players will learn strokes, footwork, serving, rules, strategy and court courtesy. Tennis students need to bring their racquets and a new can of balls to give to the teacher.
Basketball camp is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 7-11 and is for beginning and intermediate players from 7-12 years. Participants will learn passing, shooting and dribbling skills and put their skills in scrimmages.
"Mini-Hawk," a multi sport camp for youths 4-6 years of age, will meet from 9 a.m. to noon June 23-27. This camp introduces youngsters to soccer, flag football and basketball in a noncompetitive atmosphere.
Multi-sport camp for children ages 7-12 will meet July 28-Aug. 1 from 9 a..m-3 p.m. and a briefer sports camp will meet from 10 a.m.-noon Aug. 11-15. All sports camps meet at Live Oak Park at 2746 Reche Road.

Summer Sunday concerts set
FALLBROOK -- The San Diego County Library, Fallbrook Branch will continue with its Summer Sunday Concerts with a program of Renaissance music by Courtly Noyse at 2 p.m. June 15.
Courtly Noyse members sing and play a number of period instruments, such as recorders, viola da gamba, vielle, krummhorns, mandolin, and gemshorns. The program also includes storytelling and jokes.
Additional concert performances will be held at 2 p.m. June 22 classical guitar music, Jose Rodriquez; at 2 p.m. July 20, Native American flute, Iron Hand; and at 3 p.m. Aug. 3, Jack Kovic will present "The Living History of Jazz Guitar."
All of the summer concerts are an hour long and are free. The performances are held in the study area of the Fallbrook Library, at 124 S. Mission Road. Call (760) 728-2373
