MURRIETA - Southwest Healthcare System Auxiliary recently donated two treatment chairs, four personal DVD players with headphones and a small library of DVDs to the Infusion Department at Rancho Springs Medical Center.
The Infusion Department serves outpatients who need chemotherapy, antibiotics for chronic infections, blood transfusions, hydration or injections. Five nurses with specialized training in oncology work in the department.
The new chairs bring patients to a height easier for medical treatment, have attached side trays that allow more access around the chairs and wheels that allow them to be moved.
Patients undergoing treatment sometimes are at the center as long as six hours.
Southwest Healthcare System Auxiliary serves both Inland Valley and Rancho Springs medical centers and has more than 120 volunteers.
Rotary sponsors ride, raffles Harley
LAKE ELSINORE - Motorcycle enthusiasts will ride into Lake Elsinore Saturday to participate in the free Lake Elsinore Rotary Rumble Ride.
The ride begins at 10:30 a.m. in Lake Elsinore and will tour areas around Diamond Valley Lake, Temecula Wine Country, ending at Quaid Temecula Harley Davidson on Old Town Front Street with a luncheon and a drawing for a 2007 Custom Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster valued at $14,000.
The drawing includes a helmet, accessories and paid taxes and license fees. Tickets are $20 and are available at the Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce, 132 W. Graham Ave, or from any Lake Elsinore Rotary member.

Art classes begin next week
TEMECULA - Art classes taught by Gabriele Baber will begin next week.
Watercolor Painting will begin Tuesday. Classes meet from 9 to 11:45 a.m. for five weeks. The cost is $90. Students will complete a painting.
Two classes will be offered starting Wednesday. Oil Painting will meet from 9 to 11:45 a.m. for five weeks. The cost is $90. Students of all levels are welcome to work on projects of their own.
Creative Drawing for Children ages 7 and older will meet from 4 to 5:10 p.m. for five Wednesdays. The cost is $50. Students will learn the basic skills for drawing, using pastel and other drawing mediums.
In Plein-air Painting, students will meet at predetermined locations throughout Temecula on Thursday mornings to sketch or paint. Students may work in any medium. The cost is $90 for the five-week course.
A "Keeping a Sketchbook" workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 7. The cost is $40.

Tourney to benefit literacy in Africa
TEMECULA - Wycliffe Southwest's fifth annual golf tournament April 13 will help build a training center in Papua, New Guinea, where nationals will learn to teach children's education, adult literacy and community HIV/AIDS awareness.
The golf package includes the green fee, golf cart, lunch and gift bag. A door prize and raffle tickets will be available at the banquet. Each golf package will pay for at least one literacy scholarship for a year. The cost is $160. Additional lunches are $30.
