DEL MAR -- The Bridal Bazaar will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 29 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Interstate 5 at Via de la Valle.

Brides and grooms can see and sample the wedding products and services of 200 exhibitors. A fashion show featuring wedding party attire will be held at 11:30 a.m. and at 1 and 2:45 p.m.

MS Walk set for April 28

CARLSBAD -- The National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Pacific South Coast chapter will hold its San Diego County Credit Union 2007 MS Walk at 8 a.m. April 28 at Legoland California. Lee Enterprises Inc., publisher of the North County Times, is a major media sponsor of the event.

An estimated 5,000 walkers are expected to participate and raise nearly $1 million for MS research and services.

Auction to benefit St. Patrick School

NORTH COUNTY -- St. Patrick Parish School in Carlsbad will hold its annual auction, its largest fundraiser of the year, at 5 p.m. April 28 at the Lake San Marcos Resort & Country Club on La Bonita Drive.

This year's auction, themed "Saturday Night Fever," will celebrate the school's 45th anniversary. The event will include a sit-down dinner with a choice of beef, chicken or vegetarian entree; open bar until 9 p.m.; silent and live auctions of luxurious items and services; a raffle and 50/50 drawing; and music and dancing until midnight. Also at the event, Deputy District Director Dan Dufresne, on behalf of U.S. Rep. Brian Bilbray, will honor St. Patrick School with a proclamation for its community service and continued education to the community.

Public Law Library to host events

VISTA -- The North County branch of the San Diego County Public Law Library will host these free events commemorating Law Week. The library is in the County Complex at 325 S. Melrose Drive, Suite 300.

- Open house, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 1. Visitors can learn about the services the law library offers, including its brand new public access computers. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided, along with drawings and giveaways.

- Legal clinics, May 1 and 3. Members of the North County Bar Association have joined with the Law Library to offer free one-on-one consultations on a variety of topics. For details, call (760) 940-4386.

Corvette club to meet May 1

NORTH COUNTY -- North Coast Vettes is a nonprofit corporation sponsored by Weseloh Chevrolet. All primary members must own Corvettes. The club, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2008, conducts monthly meetings, events, trips and social activities, as well as supports various local charitable organizations.

Those interested in joining the club are invited to attend its monthly meetings, which are held at 7 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Grandma's Hilltop Hideaway Cafe, 539 Vista Bella, Oceanside. The next meeting is scheduled for May 1.

Baskin-Robbins to hold 31 Cent Scoop Night

Baskin-Robbins will kick off summer early with the inaugural 31 Cent Scoop Night on May 2. From 5 to 10 p.m. that evening, ice-cream lovers can visit their local Baskin-Robbins store an enjoy their favorite flavors for only 31 cents per 2.5-ounce scoop while paying tribute to local heroes.

As part of the event, Baskin-Robbins will donate $100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, an organization that honors America's fallen fire heroes and their families.

Experimental aircraft group to meet

Beta Sigma Phi to hold luncheon

NCTD teams with senior centers to offer day trips

NORTH COUNTY -- In an effort to educate North County seniors about public transportation options, the North County Transit District and area senior centers have again partnered to coordinate the Senior BREEZE Sprees. The campaign aims to teach seniors how to use the BREEZE bus system through free day trips, scheduled from several senior centers.

The day trips, or "sprees," will begin and end at the senior centers and will last approximately four hours. Along the way, participants will learn all the ins and outs of riding the bus so as to take the fear out of the experience.

The Senior BREEZE Sprees day trips are scheduled as follows:

- Carlsbad Senior Center: May 18 to Carlsbad Premium Outlets and May 23 to Westfield Plaza Camino Real mall.

- Del Mar Community Connections: May 11 to Westfield UTC mall.

- Encinitas Senior Center: May 15 to Carlsbad Premium Outlets and May 25 to Old Town via the Coaster train.

- Escondido Joslyn Senior Center: May 22 to a North County casino and May 16 to Westfield North County mall.

- Oceanside Senior Center: May 2 to Westfield UTC mall.

- San Marcos Senior Center: May 8 to Westfield North County mall and May 24 to a North County casino.

- Solana Beach Senior Adults Program: May 4 to Oceanside Pier and May 14 to Westfield North County mall.

- Vista's Gloria E. McClellan Senior Center: May 9 to Carlsbad Premium Outlets and May 30 to Westfield North County mall.

Scots club to host wine-tasting fundraiser

VISTA -- The North County Scots club will hold a wine-tasting event from 3 to 5 p.m. May 5 at the Gloria E. McClellan Senior Center, 1400 Vale Terrace Drive, in Brengle Terrace Park.

Cost of $25 per person includes five tastings. There also will be a silent auction, raffle prizes and entertainment by Naismith School of Piping.

Gala to benefit Lux Art Institute

ENCINITAS -- The Lux Art Institute will hold its "Lux After Dark" gala fundraiser May 5 at the art-filled home of board member Linda Brandes.

Single seniors club to host events

NORTH COUNTY -- The North County Singles Club, a social club for single seniors ages 55 and older, will hold its Cinco de Mayo dinner-dance May 6 at the Escondido Country Club, 1800 Country Club Lane. Dance music will be provided by Our Song. Cost is $24.

The club regularly meets for dinner and dancing to live music from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Fridays at the Vista Elks Lodge, 1947 E. Vista Way. Cost is $13, which includes a buffet dinner.

Y-ME's Walk to Empower set for May 13
