The Barefoot Kids Foundation and Nike Inc. have teamed to provide athletic footwear to children in need. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego has received more than 650 pairs of soccer, basketball and running shoes through the program. The shoes will go to children in the clubs' sports programs who otherwise would not be able to afford them. The shoes are being distributed among the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego's 17 sites, including its five school sites in Escondido.
