Sidewalk half-price book sale

Library benefit concerts announced
ESCONDIDO -- The Escondido Library Endowment Foundation is holding two concerts to raise money to help build a new library. The concerts will go from 5 to 8:30 p.m. July 11 (Peter Sprague and Friends) and Aug. 8 (Luna Llena) at the outdoor stage and dinning area at Kalmia and Grand avenues. The cost is $45 per person, $80 per couple and $400 per table of 10. The cost includes meal and choice of beverage. The contribution is tax-deductible. Tickets are available at the library, 239 S. Museum Ball supports cultural arts

Project Wildlife to visit Jack's Pond
SAN MARCOS -- The city of San Marcos is sponsoring a program by Project Wildlife at Jack's Pond Nature Center and Conservation Barn at 10 a.m. July 11. The center is at 986 La Moree Road.
