TEMECULA - People are used to seeing county Supervisor Jeff Stone and Temecula Mayor Chuck Washington in business suits, but guests at the Women's Council of Realtors fourth annual fashion show saw the two in a different light.
Stone strutted the runway at Wilson Creek Winery in jeans, a T-shirt and ball cap and Washington came out in a tank top and surfer shorts while riding a skateboard, much to the delight of the more than 300 people present.
The event, held Sept. 18, is the main fundraiser for the 135-member group, fashion show organizer Martha McKay said.
A portion of the proceeds will go to Michelle's Place, the women's breast cancer resource center. Other money goes to the Realtors group, which puts a heavy emphasis on education, McKay said.
Joan Sparkman was also among the models, as were some local winery owners. Guests also watched The World Champion Salsa Dancers.
The Women's Council of Realtors is a national network of Realtors designed to help women exercise their potential as entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
