Renaissance Faire
A day in 1600s London was featured during Murrieta Valley High School's eighth annual Renaissance Faire May 24. Elementary students, teachers and parents, many dressed in period costumes, learned what life was like in the 17th Century from philosophers of the day, saw archery competitions, medical treatment, traveling minstrels and spontaneous dancing around the maypole. The entertainment was provided by several hundred Murrieta Valley students, who did research based on state standards in English. The fair was open to the public.
