ENCINITAS -- The Encinitas Union School District board will discuss the district's goals publicly Tuesday with its new superintendent.
As part of a regular meeting, the board will review its "strategic planning targets" for the upcoming school year.
The targets include six specific goal areas: 21st century skills, early childhood education, integrated technology, comprehensive health education, asset management and community engagement.
The meeting is set for 6 p.m. at the district office, 101 S. Rancho Santa Fe Road.
It will be the first meeting for Superintendent Tim Baird, who started Wednesday, replacing retiring Superintendent Lean King.
