ENCINITAS -- Firefighters and sheriff's deputies went to a well-involved house fire Friday morning in Encinitas, authorities said.
A neighbor called 911 at 5:48 a.m. to report smoke and flames coming from the house next door on Coolngreen Way, near Willowspring Drive, sheriff's Sgt. Jack Reynolds said.
By the time firefighters arrived, the house was engulfed in flame, Reynolds said. The residents were not home at the time and no one was hurt.
The fire was out but firefighters were still on scene at 8 a.m., Reynolds said. The cause is under investigation.
