ENCINITAS -- Sheriff's arson detectives were investigating a fire at an unoccupied house Monday night, authorities said.
A passerby reported the fire at 1010 Wotan Drive at 8:32 p.m., Lt. Anthony Ray said. When firefighters arrived, they found the house fully engulfed in flame, a NorthComm Fire dispatcher said. It took about 30 minutes to knock down the fire, she said.
No one was home at the time of the fire and the Sheriff's Bomb Arson Unit was at the scene about 9:30 p.m., Ray said. A damage estimate was not available Monday.
