ESCONDIDO -- San Diego Safe Kids Coalition and Quality Chevrolet will be providing free child car safety seat checkups on the second Tuesday of each month, they have announced.

The seat checkups will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. at Quality Chevrolet, 1550 Auto Park Way.

A nationally certified child passenger safety technician will check that car seats are free from any manufacturer recalls and also will teach how to correctly install them in a vehicle.

Each check up takes approximately 30 minutes. People who utilize the service are asked to bring along the instruction manuals for their child safety seat and vehicle if possible. To schedule an appointment or for more information, call (858) 576-1700, ext. 5096.
