ESCONDIDO -- A man suffered a dislocated hip after a roll-over crash into a ravine at 8:35 p.m. Saturday on Encino Drive near Eldorado Drive, Escondido police Lt. David Mankin said.

The driver, who was the only person in the car, was not immediately identified. He was taken by ambulance to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, an Escondido firefighter said. No further information on his condition was available.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, authorities said. The cause was under investigation.
