LAKE ELSINORE---- An off-road vehicle crashed about 10 a.m. Thursday in Wasson Canyon, just north of Lake Elsinore, seriously injuring a rider, authorities said.
A rescue helicopter had to hoist the patient to safety, said Jody Hagemann, a spokeswoman for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
Further details on the crash were not available Thursday.
