MENIFEE -- City council members will get a first look Tuesday at the process of how to divide the newly incorporated community into districts for future municipal elections.

In June, when voters elected to form the new city of Menifee, they also approved electing future council members from five voting districts, rather than from the city at large.

"Our city attorney will be holding a workshop on the subject," said Kathy Bennett, Menifee's city clerk. "This is really the first step in how to get that done."

The workshop, which is open to the public, begins at 5:30 p.m. The regular council meeting will start at 7 p.m.

Menifee council meetings are held on the Mt. San Jacinto College campus in the former Azusa Pacific building at 28701 La Piedra Road.
