OCEANSIDE -- A $75,000 grant to a veterans group will be used to pay for domestic violence prevention classes, the Verizon communications company announced Tuesday.
Verizon issued the grant to American GI Forum to conduct the prevention classes in Oceanside, San Diego and four other California cities.
The grant will pay for a course promoting violence-prevention techniques such as anger management and conflict-resolution skills, according to Verizon.
The other cities where the "Preventing Domestic Violence for Veterans and Families Program" will be conducted are Victorville, San Bernardino, Santa Maria and Lompoc.
