OCEANSIDE - Mary I. McBride, died of complications associated with COPD on Sunday, July 1, 2007, in Vista.

Born Aug. 4, 1926, in Youngstown, Ohio, she lived in Oceanside nine years. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Youngstown. She was a member of Oceanside Church of God, and a resident of Mar Vista Retirement Home. She loved the ocean and local activities.

Mrs. McBride is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Stephen and Dawna McBride of Rancho Santa Margarita and Michael and Becky McBride of Snellville, Ga.; sister Dorothy Welch of Austington, Ohio; and three grandsons.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 5, at Oceanside Church of God. Cremains will be scattered.

The family suggests donations to Hospice by the Sea, 312 S. Cedros #250, Solana Beach, CA 92075.
