SOLANA BEACH - Henry Rabinowitz, 60, died Thursday, April 5, 2007.
Born Nov. 14, 1946, in New York City, he lived in California since the early 1970s. He was the owner of Gelato Vero Caffe in San Diego since 1984.
Mr. Rabinowitz is survived by his sons, Aaron Rabinowitz and Ian Rabinowitz, both of Solana Beach.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Dieguito.

ESCONDIDO - Susan A. Simpson, 83, died Friday, April 13, 2007.
Born Sept. 17, 1923, in Portland, Ore., she lived in Escondido for 10 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Escondido. She enjoyed needlework, quilting, knitting, reading, camping and traveling.
Mrs. Simpson is survived by her husband of 61 years, Kerby H. Simpson; daughter and son-in-law Molly and Ron Smith of Escondido; son and daughter-in-law Daniel and Delores Simpson of San Leandro; and three grandchildren.

Born July 6, 1928, in
Natick, Mass., she lived in San Marcos for eight years. She attended the Greek Orthodox Church in Torrance.
Mrs. Carlisle was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Carlisle, in 1987.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Richard Carlisle of San Marcos and Greg and Andrea Carlisle of San Diego; sister and brother-in-law Katherine and Bill Kennedy of Torrance; and one grandchild.

ESCONDIDO - Thomas George Icenogle, 51, died of the injuries he received after being hit by a car while on his motorcycle, Saturday, April 14, 2007.
He was born Sept. 1, 1955, in Sidney, Ohio. He worked at Sound Image.
Mr. Icenogle was preceded in death by his father, Marion Icenogle.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Patricia Icenogle of Escondido; mother Marie Icenogle of Sidney, Ohio; son Jon of Escondido; daughters and son-in-law Dana and

SAN DIEGO - Dennis Lloyd Fischer, 60, died Sunday, April 15, 2007.
Born July 18, 1946, in Linden, he lived in San Diego for 35 years. His career was in the fields of archaeology, landscape design and environmental consulting. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1963 to 1967.
Mr. Fischer is survived by his wife of 37 years, Marlowe Fischer; and son and daughter-in-law Jarrod and Christina Fischer.

Jack Moore Jr., 44
SHELTON, Wash. ññ Jack E. Moore Jr., 44, died Friday, April 13, 2007.
He was born Sept. 18, 1962, in Stockton. He was an owner and salesman for American Shake and Shingle Co. for 20 years. He was a member of Moriah Christian Center in Shelton, Gospel Lighthouse Church in Fort Bragg and Ambassador Family Church in Oceanside.
He was a member of Master Builders Association and Marlin Terrace Home Owners Association, where he was a board member. He enjoyed fishing, shooting, singing, movies and vacations.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Molly Moore and sister Jacqueline Hawkins.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Moore of Shelton; son and daughter-in-law Eric and Jennifer Moore of Shelton; daughters and sons-in-law Amanda and Sean Fuller, Shellica and Jessie Trevino and Molly Moore, all of Shelton; brothers Robert Moore of Temecula, Thomas Moore of Oceanside and Dean Moore of Sacramento; and sisters Karen Deidz of Mendocino, Sandra J. Moore of Shelton and Linda Corona of Sacramento.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, at Moriah Christian Center, 910 Dearborn Ave. in Shelton.

McCormick Thomas, 48, died of melanoma Monday, April 16, 2007.
Born April 4, 1959, in Wichita, Kan., she lived in Temecula for 20 years. She attended USC and Long Beach State University. She was a member of the Fallbrook Presbyterian Church and was past president of the Assistance League of Temecula Valley.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Helen McCormick, in 2003.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Mark Thomas of Temecula; father Donald Dean McCormick of Tustin; sons Michael Thomas and Jeffrey Thomas, both of Temecula; and brothers and sister-in-law Donald and Martha McCormick of Cota de Caza and Jim McCormick of Estes Park, Colo.

Born Sept. 4, 1921, in Chicago, she lived in Fallbrook previously. She raised avocados in Fallbrook. She was associated with the Angel Shop, Rally for Children and the Catholic Church in Fallbrook.
She attended UCLA. She enjoyed her church, playing bridge and entertaining friends.
Mrs. Arth was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Arth.
She is survived by her children, Barbara ZoBell of La Jolla, Peter Arth Jr. of San Francisco and Christopher Arth of Truckee; and four grandchildren.

Born March 2, 1916, in Davenport, Iowa, she lived in San Diego for 36 years.

Born May 3, 1933, in Carroll, Iowa, he lived in Vista for 73 years.
He was a salesman for SAS Shoes for about 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army in the post-war occupation forces in Germany.
Mr. Wiseman is survived by his wife, Mary Wiseman of Vista; sons Michael J. Wiseman of Long Beach, Steven M. Wiseman of Vista and Robert Armstrong of Denver; daughters Pam McDaniel of Rancho Penasquitos, Gail Boyd of Washington, Vicki Randon of Denver and Norma MacDonald of Oak Hills; sister Betty Minor of Vista; and 12 grandchildren.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Born April 4, 1920, in California, she lived in Poway for 20 years. She was a member of Wednesday ETC and Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She enjoyed cross stitch, reading and gardening.
Mrs. Ziegler is survived by her daughters, Kathy Ries of Poway and Carol Renwick of Dallas; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

GILBERT, Ariz. - Sidney "Doc" Brooks, 72, died Saturday, April 14, 2007.
He was born March 17, 1935, in Sainte Genevieve, Mo. He was an equipment manager for the San Diego Chargers from 1973 to 2000. He was a director of athletic equipment for USC from 2000 to 2005. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea and Vietnam. He was an honorary member of the Blue Angels. He served in several San Diego organizations involving and assisting children.
Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife, Geraldine Brooks; daughter Alison Brooks; sons Sidney "Joey" Brooks II, Michael Brooks and Brett Brooks; brother William Brooks; and four grandchildren.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, at The Immaculata at USD Campus, 5998 Alcala Park in San Diego. Private family interment is planned at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego.

Born Oct. 23, 1968, in Cleveland, she lived in San Marcos for three years. She lived in San Diego and Escondido for 35 years previously. She was a sales representative for Option Care. She was a member of Emmanuel Faith Community Church, Mom's In Touch and Valley Christian School. She graduated from Orange Glen High School in Escondido. She received a bachelor's degree in physical education and science from SDSU in 1993.
Mrs. McCrea is survived by her husband of 11 years, Christopher McCrea of San Marcos; sons Ryan McCrea, Gavin McCrea and Tyler McCrea, all of San Marcos; parents Richard and Nancy Sloan of Escondido; brothers Jeffrey Sloan of Prattville, Ala., and Paul Sloan of Temecula; and sister Julie Kay Theule of San Luis Obispo.

He worked with North Coast Recovery and First House Detox, assisting people in recovery.
Mr. Pauley was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Jean Pauley; brother Steven Pauley; and sister Lori Kay Pauley. He is survived by his father, Donald Pauley of Carlsbad; sister Donna Cummings of Oceanside; son Nickolaus J. Pauley of Aurora, Colo.; daughters Melissa Tulloss of Murrieta, Amanda Pauley and Maggie Pauley, both of Salinas; and six grandchildren.

Darrell Dederich, 65
FALLBROOK - Darrell J. Dederich, 65, died of the injuries he received in a bicycle accident Monday, April 9, 2007.
Born Jan. 11, 1942, in Richland Center, Sauk County, Wis., he lived in Fallbrook for nine years. He retired in 2006 after 44 years as an engineer in the semiconductor and telecommunications industry. He graduated from Madison Vocational Technical School in 1962. He graduated from Western College with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1972.
He retired from MindSpeed Technologies in 2006. He enjoyed bicycling, motorcycle riding and growing avocados.
He was a member of North Coast Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher.
Mr. Dederich was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Nancy Dederich; and brother-in-law Norman Stoltz.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Dederich of Fallbrook; daughter Deanna Kosaraju of Albany; stepdaughters and stepson-in-law Ragan and Shaun Erickson and Jenny Dean, all of Fallbrook; son-in-law Ravi Kosaraju; brothers and sisters-in-law Leon Dederich of Kenosha, Wis., Neal and Mary Lou Dederich of Phoenix; sisters and brothers-in-law Connie Stoltz of Richland Center, Wis., Leone and Don Nachreiner of Middleton, Wis.; and four grandchildren.

He was born April 1, 1922. He graduated from Oceanside High School in 1940. He served in the U.S. Army as a captain.
He graduated from USC as a dentist. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and his dogs.
Mr. Cottingham was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Louis W. Cottingham; sister Evelyn; and stepsons Jimmy and Steve.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children William "Randy" Randolph and Linda Lee Reau; sisters Joyce Foster, Helen Emery-Hayes and Doris Ellis; stepdaughter Laura Raines; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

SUN CITY - James Thomas Jones, 88, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, in Grandview, Texas.
Born March 8, 1919, in Mississippi, he lived in Sun City for 33 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He enjoyed watching old movies, tinkering in his yard, animals and spending time with his family.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Jones, in 1999. He is survived by his son, Gary Jones of Grandview, Texas; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at noon Friday, April 20, at Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory in Sun City. Interment will follow at 1:15 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery.

MURRIETA - William Paul Voss, 83, died Sunday, April 15, 2007.
Born Oct. 30, 1923, in Massachusetts, he lived in Murrieta for 12 years. He retired in 1986 after 33 years as a liaison engineer for Hughes Aircraft. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a boatswain's mate second class. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Voss is survived by his wife, Chencie Voss of Murrieta; sons Paul M. Voss and John W. Voss, both of Anaheim, Joseph A. Voutiritsa of Long Beach and James M. Voss of Murrieta; sister, Evelyn V. Collins of Anaheim; and two grandchildren.
A Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. today, April 19, at St. Martha Catholic Church, 37200 Whitewood Road in Murrieta. Burial will take place at noon Friday, April 20, at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, 7845 Santiago Canyon Road in Orange.
