SAN MARCOS - Mima "Bea" Gitlin, 78, died at home Friday, July 6, 2007, in Anza.

She was born December 7, 1928, in Beulah, Manitoba, Canada. She was a homemaker for 60 years. She lived in Vista and San Marcos since 1975 before moving to Anza. She was an operator at an answering service for many years. She owned Bea's Hive Craft consignment store in Vista. She was a Tri City Medical Center Pink Lady volunteer. She loved to play the penny slots.

Mrs. Gitlin was preceded in death by her first husband Henry A. Taylor in 1965, and her son George S. Taylor in 1966. She is survived by her husband of 37 years Arnold Gitlin of Anza; sons and daughters-in-law Robert and Patricia Taylor of San Marcos, and Alex and Judy Gitlen of Anza; daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Robert Stevenson of Carlsbad; several brothers and sisters in Canada; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Private inurnment will be in Anza.

Allen Bros., San Marcos Chapel is handling arrangements.
