Francis L. 'Herb' Hurban

Francis L. Hurban "Herb" of Temecula passed away October 2, 2004, from cancer, and a fall that caused a blood clot in his skull and surgery. He leaves his wife, Mildred of 43 years; a son Gary and his wife Charlotte; a daughter-in-law Joyce; a daughter Jill O'Rourke and her husband, Tom; grandsons Gary Dean Mead wife Grace, Cary and Kim, Ryan and Erin and children.

The funeral was held at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park Mortuary. Pastor Steve Struikmans of Rancho Community Church in Temecula held a beautiful graveside service. Three of our neighbors and dear friends added their good-byes, commemorating their fun times together.

Our youngest grandson, Brett O'Rourke wrote on his own, this beautiful good-bye to his grandfather and read it at the grave site.

From the Heavens

"It"

It can be anything,

Anything, the scope of his wisdom, his knowledge,

Knowledge he selflessly shared, he selflessly taught us,

Taught to fix it, drive it, bait it, cast it, shoot it, keep it, befriend it, question it, think it, learn it, figure IT out, believe it -- but most importantly -- to love it,

Love it, like he loved his family and friends, like his family and friends love him -- unconditionally,

To me he is omnipresent, in all my thoughts, reflected in all my actions, a major influence on all our lives.

Still looking over us, still providing us with a sense of security, still providing us with a sense of peace and safety,

In the heavens, a kingdom suitable for a man such as him, he watches from above,

No limit to the extent of his touch, to the extent of all those touched by him,

God blessed us with him, a husband, a best friend, a life partner, a father, a buddy, a confidant, a grandfather, a playmate, an advisor

It is now his turn,

God bless grandpa,

We miss you, we love you -- we will always love you,

We all pray you rest in peace grandpa -- however, through us all, you will live on.

In Memoriam

Karl D. Sexton

Jan. 17, 1934 - Oct. 11, 2003

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you deeply, in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and all though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

We love and miss you,

Patsy and Family
