OCEANSIDE -- School officials in Oceanside are recommending finalizing layoff notices for 28 support employees.
The move would be in addition to more than 30 teachers who have been laid off this year in the Oceanside Unified School District.
The school board will vote on the recommendation Tuesday at its meeting, which starts at 6 p.m. at the district office, 2111 Mission Ave.
In March, the board voted to send preliminary pink slips to the employees as part of $12 million in spending cuts.
An additional 86 workers were notified that their hours could be cut next year to save money.
The employees who could lose their jobs include custodians, groundskeepers, clerks and instructional aides.
