One person was hurt late Friday morning when two vehicles collided at a San Marcos intersection south of Highway 78, authorities said.

One of the vehicles, a sport utility vehicle, rolled onto its side in the 10:58 a.m. crash at S. Rancho Santa Fe Road and Descanso Avenue, a Sheriff's Department sergeant said.

The driver of the car that flipped was taken by ambulance to Palomar Medical Center, said Capt. Jim Colston of the San Marcos Fire Department.
