ENCINITAS ---- Two people suspected of providing alcohol to minors were arrested during a sting operation Thursday night, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's deputies and agents with the state's Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control used minors as decoys, who asked adults to buy them alcohol in the operation. A total of 12 people were targeted, and two of them agreed to purchase the alcohol, according to a Sheriff's Department news release.
The operation, called Shoulder Tap, was conducted in Encinitas, Solana Beach and Del Mar, and was funded through a grant from the state's Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
