NORTH COUNTY -- Authorities have asked for the public's help in seeking a trio of shoplifters linked to recent thefts at five North County CVS pharmacies.
The group has taken about $5,000 worth of merchandise, mostly targeting hair care products, sheriff's officials said. The same three, who have been caught on surveillance video, are believed to have hit three Vista CVS pharmacies, two of them twice, officials said. They are also connected to thefts at a CVS in Oceanside and one in Encinitas. They have been seen leaving a store in a silver minivan.
Sheriff's officials described the thieves as a Latino woman, about 5 feet 4 inches tall with long, light-colored hair, a Latino man, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with short black hair, and a second Latino man, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 190 pounds with short black hair.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the identity and location of these suspects to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to arrests.
