First came the advertisements on the silver screen. Then sign twirlers danced outside clinics.
Now Riverside County health officials intend to take their message that everyone ought to get vaccinated against swine flu to county shopping malls ---- including the one in Temecula.
The free flu shots will be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of the movie theaters at The Promenade mall in Temecula and at The Promenade Shops at Dos Lagos in Corona behind the Trader Joe's market.
The Corona clinic will be held indoors.
Officials warn that inclement weather may cause the cancelation of the Temecula clinic, which will be held outdoors. They are advising people to visit the Web site ---- www.rivcoph.org/h1n1 ---- for updated information.
The H1N1 vaccine continues to be offered free Monday through Friday during regular business hours at the county's 10 family centers, including locations in Lake Elsinore, Perris, Corona and Hemet.
Family center addresses also are listed on the Web site or are available by calling the county's 2-1-1 information line.
